How to force install incompatible add-on on mozilla firefox all versions


When new version of mozilla firefox launches, then incompatibility problem comes with older add-ons. But, some of firefox add-on is so much helpful that you can just avoid it. Updated software comes with many new features. Hence, we are explaining how to install incompatible add-ons in newer version of mozilla firefox.

Use the trick below to disable and turn off Firefox extensions compatibility check so that incompatible extensions can be installed or enabled.

1. Launch the Mozilla firefox and in address bar type about:config , and hit Enter from keyboard.

2. Click on I’ll be careful, I promise! button at the warning prompt.
3. Right click in the window, and select New Boolean.

4. Enter extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0b as the preference name. (Here, 4.0b is the firefox version that you are using) (Just replace it with your version of mozilla firefox). To check the version of mozilla firefox just click on help -- About firefox. Here, version will be written.

Here we have written extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0b as we are doing it in firefox 4.0b version. Use your own by checking your mozilla firefox version (Whatever version you are using). Now click on ok. Now double click on this to do value to false. Now you have done. Now you can use all older version of adons that is not compatible with your firefox.

Note: It’s important to understand that not all extension will work perfectly in new version of Firefox, especially when it’s been tagged as incompatible.
